If you’re driving, there’s parking near the village centre — but honestly, arriving by train or cableway is worth the extra effort. It sets the tone for the whole day.

The Kuranda Original Rainforest Markets are open daily from 9:30 am to 3:00 pm. They sit right in the heart of Kuranda village, within easy walking distance of the Heritage Markets, the Barron River, and the rainforest boardwalks. Most visitors spend at least two to three hours here — but you may find you don’t want to leave.
